NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) has released an official notification for conducting a Walk-in Drive for Trade Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961. This recruitment is for its 3.0 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Nagarnar, Bastar District, Chhattisgarh.
Eligible ITI-passed candidates can attend the walk-in drive from 12 January 2026 to 15 January 2026 for various trades including COPA, Welder, Fitter (Mechanical) and Electrician.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidate must possess ITI certificate in relevant trade
Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 are NOT eligible
Candidate must be registered on the Apprenticeship India Portal before attending the walk-in drive

Selection Process
Selection will be based on Screening / Trade Test
COPA candidates must appear for a typing test
Final selection subject to document verification and medical fitness
Selected candidates will receive stipend as per DGT Guidelines
Reservation Policy
Reservation for SC / ST / OBC categories will be as per Apprenticeship Rules, 1992
SC/ST Caste Certificate: Issued by concerned State Government only
OBC Certificate:
Issued by State Government
Valid within 6 months as on notification date
In prescribed Government of India format
Important Instructions for Candidates
❌ No TA/DA will be paid for attending walk-in drive
❌ No accommodation will be provided by NSL
Apprenticeship does not guarantee employment after completion
Candidates should be prepared to stay more than one day at their own cost, if required
Documents Required at Walk-in Drive
Candidates must bring resume (as per prescribed format) with recent passport-size photograph affixed and self-attested copies of:
Proof of Date of Birth
Address Proof
Caste Certificate (if applicable)
ITI Qualification Certificate
All original documents must be produced for verification.
Medical Examination
Provisionally selected candidates must undergo a medical fitness test before joining apprenticeship training.
Publication of Result
The provisional selection list will be published only on the NSL official website
No separate communication will be sent to candidates
Important Notice
If any information furnished by the candidate is found false or incorrect, candidature will be cancelled at any stage
NMDC Steel Limited reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the walk-in drive without assigning any reason
Number of apprentices may change based on final assessment
