Educational Qualification & Experience

  • SSLC (10th pass)
  • ITI – National Trade Certificate (NTC) in relevant trade
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 is considered as experience for eligibility

Candidates currently working as Fabrication/Outfit Assistants on CSL rolls are not eligible.

Age Limit (As on 07 February 2026)

  • Maximum Age: 45 years
  • OBC (NCL): +3 years
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • PwBD & Ex-servicemen: As per Govt. norms (up to max 50 years)

Salary & Benefits

  • Consolidated Pay: ?23,300 per month
  • Extra Hour Compensation: Up to ?5,830 per month
  • Higher pay possible for candidates with additional relevant shipyard experience

Selection Process

  3. Practical Test (100 Marks) – Conducted at CSL, Kochi

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • UR/EWS – 50%
  • OBC – 45%
  • SC/ST/PwBD – 40%

Final merit list will be prepared based on Practical Test marks, with age seniority as tie-breaker.
