Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL), functioning under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released the official notification for the Engagement of ITI Apprentices for the year 2026-27.
Eligible ITI-qualified candidates are invited to apply for one-year Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 at DRDL, Kanchanbagh, Hyderabad – 500058.

DRDL proposes to engage ITI Apprentices in the following trades:
Fitter
Turner
Machinist
Machinist (Grinder)
Carpenter
Welder
Electrician
Diesel Mechanic
Electronics Mechanic
Attendant Operator Chemical Plant (AOCP)
Painter
Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA)
Foundryman
👉 Qualification: ITI Pass in the respective trade from an NCVT-recognized institute
🎓 Eligibility Criteria – DRDL ITI Apprentices 2026
Candidate must have passed ITI certified by NCVT
Reservation for SC / ST / OBC / PwD categories is applicable as per Apprentices Act, 1961
Candidate should not have previously undergone or be currently undergoing apprenticeship training at DRDL or any other organization
Candidates terminated from apprenticeship training at DRDL are not eligible
Candidates terminated twice from other establishments are also not eligible

Step 1: Online Application
Candidates must apply online through the Apprenticeship India Portal

Step 2: Offline Application Submission
After applying online, candidates must submit:
Duly filled and signed application form (Appendix-A)
Self-attested copies of documents:
SSC Certificate
ITI Certificate
Caste Certificate (if applicable)
PwD Certificate (if applicable)
Aadhaar Card
Proof of online application

📄 Important Instructions for Applicants
Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected without any correspondence
Aadhaar details must match SSC and online application
Illegible or missing documents will lead to rejection
Shortlisted candidates will be informed only via email
Candidates must bring original certificates at the time of verification
Currently employed candidates must submit a relieving letter at the time of joining
No TA/DA will be paid for verification or joining
💰 DRDL ITI Apprentice Stipend 2026
Stipend will be paid as per Government of India norms
Apprenticeship duration is strictly one year
Completion of training does not guarantee employment in DRDL
