IREL (India) Limited has released Apprentice Recruitment Notification 2026 under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for its OSCOM Unit, Matikhalo, Odisha. Eligible candidates can apply for Graduate, Technician, Trade, and ITI Apprentice posts. The last date to submit the offline application is 15 May 2026.

 Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

 Candidates with higher qualifications than prescribed are not eligible.
 Distance/Part-time/Correspondence qualifications will not be accepted.

 Age Limit (As on 15 May 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 25 Years

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST – 5 Years
  • OBC (NCL) – 3 Years
  • PwD – 10 Years

 Stipend

Stipend will be paid as per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and Government norms. No additional allowances or benefits will be provided.

 Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

  1. Merit List (Based on marks in qualifying examination)
  2. Document Verification
  3. Medical Fitness Test
  4. Police Verification Certificate

In case of tie:

  • Higher marks will be considered
  • If still tied, senior candidate (by DOB) will be selected

 Selection Priority

Preference will be given in the following order:

  1. Land Affected Candidates
  2. Residents within 7 km radius of OSCOM
  3. Wards of IREL employees
  4. Residents within 10 km radius
  5. Odisha Domicile Candidates
  6. Rest of India Candidates

Reservation will be applicable as per Odisha Government norms.

 Important Instructions

  • Graduate/Technician candidates must apply within 3 years of passing.
  • Candidates who already completed apprenticeship are not eligible.
  • No job guarantee after completion of training.
  • Final selection subject to medical fitness and document verification.

  2. Download the application format from official notification.
  3. Fill the form in A4 size paper.
  4. Attach self-attested copies of:
    • 10th Certificate (DOB proof)
    • Educational Certificates & Mark Sheets
    • Caste/EWS/PwD Certificate (if applicable)
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Nativity Certificate (if applicable)
    • NATS/NAPS Registration Proof
    • APAAR ID
