Eligibility Criteria HCSL Recruitment
1. Operator (Crane) – Contract Basis
Educational Qualification:
- SSLC Pass
- ITI – NTC in Fitter / Machinist / Electrician / Electronic Mechanic
Experience (Essential):
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in operating cranes in:
- Shipbuilding/Ship repair company OR
- Engineering/Logistics Company OR
- Government / Semi-Government Establishment
Desirable Skills:
- Radio remote operation
- Basic troubleshooting of VFD
- Working knowledge of Hindi/Bengali
2. Operator (MHE & Transporter) – Contract Basis
Educational Qualification:
- SSLC Pass
- ITI – NTC in any trade
Experience (Essential):
- Minimum 3 years experience in operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
Desirable:
- Proficiency in Hindi/Bengali

- Maximum Age: 45 years as on 29 December 2025
- Ex-servicemen relaxation as per Government norms (not exceeding 50 years with all relaxations)
Salary & Benefits HCSL Recruitment
- Consolidated Pay: ?23,300/- per month for candidates with minimum 3 years of experience
- Extra Hours Compensation: Up to ?5,830/- per month
- Higher pay may be offered for additional relevant experience after technical committee review
- Posting at Hooghly CSL project sites, with possible transfers between sites
Selection Process HCSL Recruitment
The selection will be conducted in two phases:
Phase I: Objective Type Test (30 Marks)
- Duration: 35 minutes
- Total Questions: 30 MCQs
- Part A: General Knowledge – 10 marks
- Part B: Trade Related – 20 marks
- No negative marking
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR
Phase II: Practical Test (70 Marks)
- Held at Hooghly CSL, Howrah
- Graded performance converted into marks
Final merit list will be prepared based on total marks (100).
