NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 1607 Apprentice Vacancies

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna company and subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has released the NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification for engagement of 1607 Graduate, Diploma, ITI Trade, and Paramedical Apprentices. Eligible candidates can apply online through the NATS and NAPS portals from 1 June 2026 to 15 June 2026.

This apprenticeship program offers one year of training along with a monthly stipend up to ₹13,700. Candidates who have completed their Degree, Diploma, ITI, or Paramedical qualifications from recognized institutions in Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh can apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the relevant Degree, Diploma, ITI Trade Certificate, or Paramedical qualification from a recognized institution approved by AICTE, UGC, BTE, NCVT, SCVT, or other competent authority.

Age Limit (As on 01 June 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 26 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 Years
• OBC (NCL): 3 Years
• PwBD: 10 Years

Important Conditions

• Candidates should not have completed Degree/Diploma/ITI before June 2022.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible.
• Candidates with one year or more work experience are not eligible.
• Higher qualification holders than the prescribed qualification are not eligible.

NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection will be based purely on merit.

Graduate & Diploma Apprentices

Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination.

ITI Trade Apprentices

Merit will be prepared based on the average percentage of:

• Matriculation (10th)
• ITI Trade Certificate

In case of a tie, older candidates will be given preference.
