Indian Oil Corporation Limited has officially released the IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification under the Apprentices Act 1961/1973 for engagement of apprentices at Bongaigaon Refinery.

Eligible candidates can apply for 144 apprentice vacancies in various technical and non-technical trades including Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Accountant, Data Entry Operator, Secretarial Assistant, and more.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have one of the following qualifications depending on the post:

  • B.Sc (Physics, Chemistry, Maths / Industrial Chemistry)
  • ITI Fitter (Minimum 2 years regular course)
  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
  • B.Com Degree
  • BA/BSc/BCom Degree
  • 12th Pass
  • Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator (for Code 111)

Minimum marks required:

  • General/OBC/EWS → 50% Marks
  • SC/ST/PwBD → 45% Marks

Age Limit (As on 30 June 2026)

  • Minimum Age → 18 Years
  • Maximum Age → 24 Years

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST → 5 Years
  • OBC (NCL) → 3 Years
  • PwBD → 10 Years

As per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

There will be NO written examination.

Selection will be based on:

  1. Merit list prepared on qualification marks
  2. Higher percentage gets preference
  3. In case of tie, older candidate gets preference
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Fitness Test
