ICF Apprentice Vacancy 2026

ICF Apprentice Eligibility 2026
Age Limit
The candidate's age will be calculated as on 07 September 2026.
- ITI candidates: Minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years.
- Non-ITI candidates: Minimum 15 years and maximum 22 years.
- SC/ST candidates: Upper-age relaxation of 5 years.
- OBC candidates: Upper-age relaxation of 3 years.
- PwBD candidates: Upper-age relaxation of 10 years.
Candidates claiming reservation benefits must produce the required certificates during document verification.
Educational Qualification
Ex-ITI Candidates
For Fitter, Electrician and Machinist, candidates should have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks, with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system or equivalent, and possess the required National Trade Certificate in the notified trade.
For Carpenter, Painter and Welder, candidates should have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks and possess the required National Trade Certificate.
For PASAA, candidates should have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks and possess the relevant ITI certificate in the notified computer-related trade.
Fresher Candidates
For Fitter, Electrician and Machinist, candidates should have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks with Science and Mathematics.
For Carpenter and Painter, candidates should have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
For Welder, candidates should have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
For MLT-Radiology and MLT-Pathology, candidates should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
ICF Apprentice Training Period
The training period varies according to the trade and candidate category.
- Fitter/Electrician/Machinist – 1 year for Ex-ITI; 2 years for Freshers
- Carpenter/Painter – 1 year for Ex-ITI; 2 years for Freshers
- Welder – 1 year for Ex-ITI; 1 year 3 months for Freshers
- MLT-Radiology/Pathology – 1 year 3 months
- PASAA – 1 year for the notified ITI qualification.
ICF Apprentice Stipend 2026
The notification specifies the following monthly stipend:

ICF Apprentice Selection Process 2026
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared using marks obtained in Class 10. In specified COVID-pass cases, the notification provides for consideration of Class IX marks/Class X half-yearly marks as applicable.
If two candidates obtain equal marks:
- The older candidate will be preferred.
- If dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Class 10 earlier will be considered first.
For Fresher candidates, trade allotment will be made according to merit, trade preference and availability of vacancies. Once a trade is allotted, requests for changing the trade will not be entertained. Ex-ITI candidates will be trained in the trade for which they possess the ITI certificate.
ICF Apprentice Application Fee
Candidates other than SC, ST, PwBD and Women candidates are required to pay a ₹100 processing fee plus applicable service charges through online mode.
No application fee is required for:

- ST candidates
- PwBD candidates

The processing fee is non-refundable.

Important Points for Candidates
