  Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has officially released the Apprentice Engagement Notification 2026 for its Mathura Refinery, under the Refineries Division. As per Advertisement No. MR/HR/APP3/2025-26, IOCL invites online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Trade Apprentices and Technician Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended).

This apprenticeship program is part of IOCL’s national Skill Building Initiative, offering valuable hands-on industrial training in one of India’s most prestigious public sector undertakings.

? Trade & Technician Apprentice Details

Trade Apprentice – Mechanical (Fitter)

  • Qualification: Matric + ITI (Fitter) – minimum 2 years
  • Training Period: 12 Months
  • Total Seats: 19

Trade Apprentice – Boiler (Mechanical)

  • Qualification: B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics / Industrial Chemistry)
  • Training Period: 24 Months
  • Total Seats: 22

Technician Apprentice – Mechanical

Technician Apprentice – Electrical

Technician Apprentice – Instrumentation

  • Qualification: Diploma in Instrumentation / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation
  • Training Period: 12 Months

Trade Apprentice – Accountant

  • Qualification: B.Com
  • Training Period: 12 Months
  • Total Seats: 01

? Seats include reservations for UR, EWS, SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and PwBD categories as per Government norms.

Eligibility Criteria for IOCL Apprentices 2026

? Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the prescribed qualification on or before 31 January 2026.
  • Minimum 50% marks required (45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
  • Only regular full-time courses recognized by NCVET / SCVT / AICTE / UGC are valid.
  • Distance, correspondence, or part-time courses are NOT eligible.
  • Candidates with higher qualifications like BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA, etc., are not eligible.

? Age Limit (as on 31.01.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 24 years (UR/EWS)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (additional category relaxations applicable)

Reservation & PwBD Guidelines

  • Reservation applicable for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS & PwBD.
  • PwBD candidates can apply only for identified trades due to the hazardous nature of refinery operations.
  • Minimum 40% disability certification required as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
  • Reservation for PwBD is horizontal, as per Section 34(1) of the Act.

Selection Process for IOCL Apprenticeship

Selection will be based on:

  • Percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination
  • Preference to first-time apprenticeship candidates
  • In case of tie:
    1. Older candidate (by date of birth)
    2. Higher marks in Matriculation

Step-1: Register on NAPS / NATS Portal

  • Codes 102, 103, 109 ? Register on NAPS Portal
  • Codes 105, 106, 107 ? Register on NATS Portal

Apply against Mathura Refinery Establishment ID:

  • NAPS ID: E12150900008
  • NATS ID: NUPMTC000001

Step-2: Fill Google / Microsoft Form

After applying on NAPS/NATS:

  • Submit additional details via the Google Form link provided on IOCL website
  • Ensure details match both portals
  • Only one response is allowed

?? Both steps are mandatory. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must produce:

  • 10th Certificate (DOB proof)
  • ITI / Diploma / Degree Mark Sheets & Certificates
  • Category / PwBD / EWS Certificates
  • NAPS/NATS Registration Printout
  • Affidavit (Annexure-A)
  • Valid Photo ID
